Diane M. Darcy is a freelance entertainment writer and podcaster. She first discovered her passion for entertainment writing at age 16 when she created fansites for anime she enjoyed, with her most popular fansite being WillowJohnson.net, first created in 2006. The site is dedicated to the voice work of Willow Johnson who worked on popular anime series like Inuyasha as Kikyo and Ranma 1/2 as Kasumi Tendo.
Since building her first successful fansite, Diane moved on to comics blogging with the creation of the Helena Wayne Huntress blog in 2011. This proved to be her more successful website as she got noticed by editors of other popular websites and has been invited to contribute to Women Write About Comics, Comics Bookcase, and ShelfDust. Diane is also a co-host of The Huntress Podcast for The Wright On Network.
Since March 2021, Diane has been working as a news and features writer at the popular comics news site Comic Book Resources (CBR). At CBR, Diane does weekly coverage of popular TV shows, DC comics, and anime. She is also a monthly reviewer of the newest manga from popular publishers like Viz Media, Kodansha Comics, and Yen Press.
Diane is always open to new opportunities and is more than happy to write features for other entertainment news sites as a guest contributor.
